It seems fitting with There or Here that much of this collaboration with Hypothetical has been over the internet, over the phone lines, with calls from cars to playgrounds, at odd hours of the night with time zones never being kept straight between us. Perhaps this is the new age of playwriting and production when three cities are involved. But I never feel the distance in the art and the collaboration when I\'m working with Amy. I thrill as production designs show up on my computer screen. I revel in our debates about the script. The plane flights that bring us into the same room only up the ante as all the elements of discovering this premiere come together. The journey of premiering There or Here with Hypothetical epitomizes the reason I write plays to begin with – it is all about going on the theatrical adventure together.
